What is 38-0 Multiplayer?

38-0 Multiplayer is the online, head-to-head version of 38-0. You draft an XI from real club squads, get matched with another player, and the two sides play a single match. A win is 3 points, a draw 1, a loss 0. Results go on a weekly board and an all-time board. Free, no app, plays in the browser.

How to play

1. Draft. Pick a league. Each round deals you a club from that league's past and present. Choose one player from it. Eleven rounds, eleven players.
2. Set up. Choose a formation and a real manager. Manager rating and preferred shape affect the match, the same as in the season game.
3. Match. You are matched with another player who drafted from the same league. If nobody is waiting within 30 seconds, you play a ghost: a real XI drafted by another player earlier. The match runs minute by minute with live events.
4. Table. Points go on the weekly leaderboard and the all-time board.

What decides the match

Player ratings, position fit, formation, manager, and cohesion. Cohesion is the part people miss. An XI drafted from eleven different eras plays worse than one built around two or three seasons, so the best drafters chase a spine, not just the highest number on the card.
